The dating site I am referring to is called DateHookUp. I took the plunge and went there not expecting much but lots of pretty faces to lure me into joining. First off I noticed there were no male pictures so I was not impressed with the fact that this site thinks only men venture out into online dating services.
I found the site itself to be informative. The parent company is World Dating Partners which grew from SinglesCrowd.com with a database originating in 2001 with websites like SinglesNet. Most of the information about the company focused on what they do to make the site work and look good although towards the end of the information I found their goal was to become one of the largest online dating services combined with other networks looking to achieve the same goal. Matter of fact they are looking for partners to join their services.
After reading this I went back to the home page here you can sign up as a member for free but the service is only free for the first 10 days so I was thinking that if my perfect match was not out there within those first ten days I was going to have to put in some serious money to find my true or lets say perfect match. I pondered on this one for a while could it be possible that I would be one of the lucky few who would match up within that time frame.
As I hit each button to find out what it would cost me once the trial period was up I found that there are three types of memberships in Date Hook Up the silver which lets you send emails to the new possible match, read and reply to these messages, get priority support, and then allows you to search other avenues of online dating services that the site recommends. The Gold Membership gives you all the Silver benefits but with a larger data base really not that much more to choose from. The new elite membership is available to Silver and Gold members and this is called Platinum. Wow now that’s where you get the perks including access to their online psychologist for help and advice. I don't know why this would be necessary since I went to this site to meet my perfect match.
The Refund Policy is a NO-REFUND policy that is unless you can prove their services were defective. Not much hope on that one since they said services not the person you were matched to. Prices were not found easily where the Silver price was not mentioned. Gold upgrade cost 12.95 a month or chose to have a life time upgrade of 154.95 and if you go for the Platinum it is 229.95 for a life time account they did not offer any monthly fees for the Platinum account. I kept going from one link to another and found that it is all the basic information needed for two people to meet just its done in form type. You can add all the great stuff you like about yourself and even include a photo. Anyway its cheaper than American Singles.com
During the free trial you do get the opportunity to enjoy their instant messenger, webcam/video chat and early bird matches. Where I found no explanation what an early bird match was. I would say in comparison to other online dating sites you will find those for no fees at all but their database for the "perfect" match is quite limited this site is as good as the next. I really did not see any special qualities that this site had to offer that would make me chose their site versus another site. It’s an adventure in finding your true or perfect match and I prefer the old fashioned way of meeting them face to face.
